 Primary School Programme

With the Know Project being such a success in the seconday schools The project has branched out and is now presenting an awareness programme to children in the primary schools-generally aimed at year 5 and 6 pupils and younger pupils if requested by the school.

This is a programme that has been specifically designed to teach the younger children about the dangers of drug and alcohol misuse and has been developed and is presented  in a more "fun" and interactive format.

We work on the basis that "All medicines are drugs but not all drugs are medicines".  We only touch upon the drugs the children are familiar with and certainly don't introduce any drugs that the children may not have heard of.

So far we have covered a number of schools across the west of the county and we have received nothing but positive feedback. Our biggest fans are, of course, the children who thoroughly enjoy the proramme and all of the activities that come along with it such as drawing pictures, role play, questionnaires and not forgetting the most popular piece of equipment the beer goggles. These are also very popular with the teachers as well.
