The Rising Sun Trust has come along way from its small surroundings of a spare bedroom belonging to a family trying to deal with the grief and devastation of losing a much loved son.
David Smith and his family have worked with the grief and loss of their son's untimely death to create a place that gives 24 hour support to carers, family, friends and alcohol/drug misusers that provides a non judgemental, caring approach to helping people that are trying to deal with a chaotic life style and move on to a more positive way of life.
The symbol used to represent the Rising Sun Trust was drawn by Ryan the day before his death and represented a new start in his life.
In Ryan's memory this symbol represents a new start for every person that engages with the Trust. |
